Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga, located on Lynnhaven Drive in Virginia Beach, has become a welcoming space where movement, mindfulness, and community intersect.
Founder Ann Stevens opened the studio in 2009 after discovering how yoga helped her navigate life changes. What began as a personal transformation quickly grew into a mission to create a supportive environment where people of all backgrounds could experience the benefits of yoga.

A Space Built Around Community
More than a place to exercise, Studio Bamboo has become a community hub centered on longevity, healing, and personal growth through mindful movement.
The studio’s approach creates opportunities for people with different backgrounds, abilities, and levels of yoga experience to participate and find a practice that works for them.
Yoga for Every Stage of Life
The studio offers a variety of classes, including beginner foundations, restorative yoga, and adaptive sessions designed for people managing injuries, chronic pain, or recovery from illness.
Family-centered offerings such as prenatal and youth classes also support students at different stages of life.
Strength, Balance & Growth
Studio Bamboo’s work extends beyond physical exercise. Through movement and mindfulness, the studio provides a setting where students can focus on strength, balance, healing, and personal growth.
That community-centered approach reflects the vision that began with Stevens’ own experience with yoga and has continued to develop since Studio Bamboo opened in 2009.
